As the push to intimidate the SCOTUS into reversing their decision on Roe V. Wade (and potentially move to codify the case), Americans must understand that whether intentional or not, the predominant culture of this country is fracturing the concept of the traditional family.
As decades have passed since the Golden Age of the traditional family, the progressive agenda values have slowly crept into our way of life. To name a few examples:
- The new-age movement introduced various progressive ideals to society that looked to denigrate the role of parenthood and instead focused on self-indulgent individualism, which denied individual responsibility and instead favored hedonistic outlooks. The evolution of this theory throughout the last half-century has led to the continual degradation of fatherhood and motherhood.
- The sexual revolution of the same time period perverted many of the traditional standards in regard to sex and gender. Suddenly, it was, to a degree, socially accepted to fornicate and have multiple sexual partners (or have partners of the same sex). These ideas developed over time to the point that sex is seen more so as a commodity and a casual affair, as seen with hookup culture. Moreover, gender theory has radically evolved to include endless facets and guidelines, including things such as asexualism or transgenderism (which blatantly ignores biological characteristics for the sake of social acceptance).
- Abortion, being a byproduct of the sexual revolution, went from being a fairly rare and extreme surgery to a staple procedure that allowed women to easily rid themselves of the consequences of their lifestyle at the expense of an unborn child’s life, thus cutting short the cycle of motherhood and fatherhood. Today, abortion is seen as a constitutional right by the left.
- Social indoctrination in public schools in regards to gender and race theory is having devastating effects on the already-existing culture divide between parents and their offspring, as children are being manipulated into believing that the system that they live in (and their family supports and thrives in) seeks to perpetually oppress them, and those that fall in line with the said system are oppressors themselves.
- Democratic socialism – a theory based on marxism that adamantly supports social collectivism and the destruction of the nuclear family – has been growing in popularity over the last ten years. Membership in socialist organizations (especially for younger individuals) has increased exponentially as a result of political shifts among the next generation.
- Both the birth rates and the marriage rates have dropped, around 41% of marriages are ending in divorce, abortions continue by the millions year after year, and strained family dynamics are becoming the norm.
If we are to live in prosperity and pass that blessing onto our offspring, and the generations that follow them, we MUST fight for the traditional family. Be a rebel, get married, raise your kids up the way God intended you to, and fight for those falling victim to the deception of social idealism.
